About the Center

After spending 21 years in Corporate America, owner Tim Updike made a radical career change and, in July 2004, began doing business as The San Francisco Hypnotherapy Center.

In addition to his professional hypnotherapy training, Tim is also a student of Astrology, Jungian psychology, Gestalt dreamwork and the Enneagram.  With more than 60 years of his own life’s experience, Tim has all the  intuitive abilities, analytical skills and compassionate traits expected of an expert in his chosen field.  

As a result, the Center’s growing list of satisfied clients have realized dreams, reached goals, solved problems, and resolved issues in a way that was both easy and enjoyable.

A graduate of the Hypnotherapy Training Institute of Corte Madera, CA , a state-approved school, Tim is a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist. He has also completed several advanced courses that qualify him as a Medical Hypnotherapist.

He is certified by ACHE, the American Association of Hypnotist Examiners, the nation’s most prestigious and widely recognized professional association for hypnotherapists.

As a member of ACHE. Tim’s practice is based on the organization’s Code of Ethics and high professional standards. To maintain credentials and stay current with the latest methods and techniques, members must meet the organization's requirements for continuing education on an ongoing, annual basis.
